I've had this idea in my head for a long time now and I am going to throw it out there and see if anyone comes back to me about it. It would be so cool if this happened... A holiday with some of my friends to Olympos in the south coast of Turkey sometime between June/July for about 2 weeks less or more give or take depending on the general consensus. The accomodation I am thinking about is Kadir's Tree Houses in Olympos. If some of you get back to me to say you're interested I will contact Kadir's and find out if they can sort out transport from the airport in Antalya to Olympos for us. The journey is only about 45-50 minutes from Antalya which is the city area. Which I will be planning to journey into a few times to do some shopping, to check out my folks (naturally) and chill and maybe just sight see.
The beaches are fantastic and they really do look like the picture, it isn't dyed it really does look like that :)If you don't think you're keen on staying in a tree house for 2 weeks don't worry, they have on the ground cabin style accomodation. And the accomodation is so butt cheap we could still afford to go on a day/two day excursion trip somewhere and stay the night in a nice (but still cheap) hotel. Antalya is crawling in hotels, and as there is so many you can haggle hard or find really cheap deals because they're all trying to compete against next door neighbours! Ridiculous I know!
"Olimpos - Home of backpacker tree houses. We stayed in the famous, Kadir's Treehouse, once ranked the No.1 hostel in the world. Great place, double room with bathroom in a tree, breakfast, dinner and a complimentary welcome beer for only $ 7 a day per person. They have a camp fire every night, music, ham
So have a look and let me know if you think you'd like to go there for a few days this summer :)
